  1. Terron J. Cook is the most resilient man I know. And the resurrection of this personal web space and his brand are more proof of it. Forward…!

  2. Hi tj my name is barb workman I lived right beside you. I have often wondered how you and Shalon were doing after that tragic event happened. I never heard a whole lot about what happened, but through the grapevine I did here that you knew nothing about what had happened. It seems that you have done well for yourself. How is Shalon doing?

    1. Barb,

Hello, there! I was shocked to receive your note through my website. Thank You for reaching out. I vaguely remember you, as it has been quite a long time and so much has transpired in my life. Although it has been a very long time since the tragedy took place, it still seems like it was yesterday. I haven’t spoken with Shalon since he took Larry’s life. I made a conscious decision to stay away from him and the rest of the Cook family. Way too much darkness for me to be involved with. I struggled through the years to make sense of everything, let alone, to figure out who I am and to create a life for myself. After many years of reflection and traveling, I have finally made a good life for myself, in the best way possible, given my turbulent past. I check in on Shalon via the internet, on occasion and it looks like he will expire in prison. I keep him in my prayers, as well as the rest of my family. I now live in southern California and I love my life and have learned to love myself, after everyone turned their back on me. It’s amazing how such tragedy can turn into such a blessing, if we go towards GOD and our conscious nature. It is so nice to hear from you. Let me know how you’re doing. Are you still in Columbus? How are you treating life?

        1. Barb,

Hello, again. My apologies for the delayed response. I have been extremely busy. I run my own business and things have really begun to take off! It’s a great feeling when you see all the hard work come to fruition.

I definitely remember who you are, now that you jogged my memory. The following link will take you to my publications storefront: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/TerronCook

Shalon is currently incarcerated in Toledo, Ohio.

It is really, really nice to be in contact with you. Words cannot express how much it means that you took the time to look me up and actually reach out.

          Best,

          Terron J. Cook

          1. TJ I finished your book. I have to say that I was very surprised by some of your story. I did always think that your dad maybe a strict parent. But that was the extent of it. It did keep my attention and I was impressed with your talent to write. I’m glad that you are doing well for yourself. I pray you continue to prosper in you business. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and shalon.

          2. Barb,

Good evening. Thank You for staying in the loop. I’m shocked that you read my first publication so quickly. While it is a rather “dark read,” it is definitely one of my most cherished works. No one knows the darkness that has surrounded my life and it is nothing short of miraculous that I’m alive, healthy and flourishing as I am. Thank You for supporting my work and for your thoughts and prayers. It means quite a bit that someone from my childhood years would reach out with care and concern.

I hope 2016 is shaping up favorably for you. I’m not really sure what’s going on in your life at this juncture. However, it would be nice to know?

            You take good care, Barb.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

            Terron J. Cook

  4. Hey tj as far as what had happened in my life, I have 10 grand babies. My first one was born in 1996. We lost him to a brain tumor when he was 4. Extremely hard to deal with. Something that you learn to live with but never get over. I have 5 boys and 5 girls. My oldest grand daughter is 18 and graduates this year.my youngest is a boy he is 7. Dennis and I are raising 2 of them, their mom left them in 2006. They belong to my son Bubba. The one we lost was also bubba’s. My husband Dennis is a cna at a nursing home. I was a private care giver. Until about four years ago. I hope I didn’t bore you to much. Keep your head up and moving forward. Take care. God bless you.
